Job Title: Software Developer, Applications   Job Description: Employer seeks a full stack developer able to design, develop, simulate, test, deploy database architecture for the steel industry. Develop modeling strategies to ensure the database is secure, scalable, and performs reliably. Responsible for coding database queries and use of database infrastructure. Set up database clusters, backup, and recovery processes.   REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 2 years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience in Software Development or related field. Question: SSCS is designed to be 100% paper less with the exception of BOL that you hand out to the driver and the checks you print to the vendors. After 1 year being live in the software.... how would you estimate your paper savings? Answer: " Our transformation was fairly dramatic although we are not 100% paperless. Our prior system was a paper eating machine. Rarely could we get a report without printing volumes of paper. We print bill of landings, pick tickets, and shop floor work orders regularly BUT we do not see the need to print paperwork at multiple steps of the process as the system view of orders and data is so complete.
